Where there is no vision, the people perish:

What is VISION?

The American Heritage Dictionary describes vision as:

vi·sion  (vzhn)

n.
1.
a. The faculty of sight; eyesight: poor vision.
b. Something that is or has been seen.
2. Unusual competence in discernment or perception; intelligent foresight: a leader of vision.
3. The manner in which one sees or conceives of something.
4. A mental image produced by the imagination.
5. The mystical experience of seeing as if with the eyes the supernatural or a supernatural being.
6. A person or thing of extraordinary beauty.
tr.v. vi·sioned, vi·sion·ing, vi·sions
To see in or as if in a vision; envision.

[Middle English, from Old French, from Latin vsi, vsin-, from vsus, past participle of vidre, to see; see weid- in Indo-European roots.]

If vision is so important, and the Bible tells us that without it we perish, how is it that we need to implement vision in our lives?

First of all we need to recognize and believe with everything in our being that the Bible is true and that God's Word will not return void.

So it must be true, that without a vision we will not exist as we were intended to, and in fact, we will perish.

As Christian women in business, we have a great responsibility to listen and adhere to the Word of God and what He is telling us.

WE NEED VISION!

We need vision for every meaningful roll in our life that we would like to act upon, for the remaining time we have on this earth.  What do I see for my future?  What plans should I be making, and how do they correlate with my purpose?

God has given us dreams and desires in our hearts to make a difference in our world.  We can impact our families, our communities, our neighbors, friends, business relationships, our government, our nation, hurting and desperate people, missionaries, the hungry, and the list goes on and on.

Our visions should be alive and living in us every day.  How can we keep the vision and purpose of our life living every day?

Writing down the vision is the #1 Key.

Write it out.  Let the dreams and purposes of your life become alive on paper.  As you write, you will see the vision unfold.  Your imagination will expand.  You can add to it or change it at any time.

Write it out, and READ it, on a daily basis.

The second part of writing it down is to WRITE out PLANS.  What steps do I need to take to make this happen.  READ YOUR PLANS.  SEE the Vision.

The Word of God tells us in Habakkuk:

Habakkuk 2

New International Version (NIV)

1 I will stand at my watch
   and station myself on the ramparts;
I will look to see what he will say to me,
and what answer I am to give to this complaint.a]

The LORD’s Answer

 2 Then the LORD replied:

   “Write down the revelation
and make it plain on tablets
so that a heraldb] may run with it.
3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
   it speaks of the end
   and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it;
   itc] will certainly come
   and will not delay.

#2 Key - Ask God for your Vision to come to pass

James 4:2  NKJV   Yet you do not have because you do not ask.

Matthew 7:7 King James Bible
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

John 14:14 King James 2000 Bible (©2003)
If you shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.

God wants to be involved in our lives.  He has the power to give us the desires of our hearts, to change situations in our lives in order  for our visions to come to pass.  But, He cannot grant our desires if we do not ask Him.

God is the one who gave us the vision, number one for us to be fulfilled, to live our our purpose and our relationship with Him, number two for the Kingdom of God to come to from heaven to earth, for us to prosper and keep us from evil, and number three for His glory!

Proverbs 16:3 New American Standard Bible (©1995)
Commit your works to the LORD And your plans will be established.

Key #3: Speak positive affirmations about your VISION

Proverbs 18:21 King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Get rid of the negative self talk.  If there are obstacles or hindrances speak to them to be removed, as the word says.

Mark 11:23 King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Key #4 Have Faith and Take Action!

Do not doubt! Change your thinking from negative to positive and take action steps to see the VISION take place!

James 2:26  New Living Translation (©2007)
Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.

Hebrews 11:1  International Standard Version (©2008)
Now faith is the butturance that what we hope for will come about and the certainty that what we cannot see exists.

If you do these things, your vision will come to pass, in accordance with God's will.
